ANLCA CONSTITUTES SIX-MONTH INTERIM COMMITTEE TO REVAMP LILYPOND CHAPTER

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has constituted a seven-member interim executive committee to reposition its Lilypond Chapter and restore its vibrancy.
The appointment, approved by the National President and communicated by the National Secretariat, takes immediate effect and will run for an initial period of six months.
The newly constituted interim committee is headed by Hon. Prince Olu Ademola Adefioye as Chairman, with Musa Eniola Ogiagah as Vice Chairman.
Other members are Olatubosun A. Awonuga, Secretary; Lanre Adisa, Financial Secretary; Soa Ajayi, Treasurer; Hon. Olushola Joseph, Public Relations Officer; and Emeka Nwawulezie, Assistant Secretary.
According to the appointment letter, the decision followed the need to reposition and strengthen ANLCA's activities at the Lilypond Chapter and restore it to a united, effective and vibrant footing.
The interim committee has been given a broad mandate to implement measures aimed at rebuilding the chapter and improving the experience of members during its six-month tenure.
A major focus of the committee will be the rebuilding and expansion of the chapter's membership base. The executives are expected to reconnect with existing members, attract prospective members and encourage greater participation in the association's activities.
The committee is also expected to restore ANLCA's presence and relevance at Lilypond by developing initiatives that will ensure members derive tangible benefits from their membership.
The National Secretariat further tasked the interim executives with promoting unity, discipline and cooperation among members, while encouraging active participation in chapter affairs.
In addition, the committee is expected to establish and maintain cordial and professional relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders operating within the command.
The committee is to pursue constructive engagement with relevant authorities while protecting and promoting the legitimate interests of licensed customs agents and contributing to a more conducive business environment.
The interim executives have also been mandated to develop initiatives aimed at improving members' welfare, business environment and professional standing.
To ensure accountability and effective monitoring of the revamp programme, the committee is expected to submit periodic reports to the National Secretariat on its progress, challenges and achievements.
The National Secretariat charged the appointees to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, diligence and fairness, while remaining committed to the interests of the association and its members.
The national leadership expressed confidence that the interim executives would collectively restore the Lilypond Chapter to a strong, vibrant and impactful position within ANLCA.
The appointees were congratulated on their appointment, with the National Secretariat assuring them of its support and cooperation throughout the six-month tenure.
The development marks a new phase for the ANLCA Lilypond Chapter, with the interim leadership expected to focus on membership mobilisation, unity, members' welfare and stronger professional engagement with government agencies and other stakeholders.
