Lagos International Maritime Week 2025: Maximizing Ocean Resources in Africa
Lagos International Maritime Week 2025 (LIMWEEK) is billed to hold between 29–30 September 2025 at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
 It is hosted by Zoe Maritime Resources Ltd
with the theme:
“Our Oceans, Our Seas, Our Obligations – Maximizing Ocean Resources in Africa”  
(Adapted from IMO’s World Maritime Day 2025).

LIMWEEK 2025 returns with its 10th International Maritime Business-to-Business Conference and Exhibition, spotlighting Africa’s ocean economy and sustainable maritime development.

 This year’s edition promises dynamic discussions, strategic networking, and actionable solutions for the continent’s maritime future.

  Highlights of the event include Keynote Lecture to be  delivered by Dr. Oluwasegun Musa, CEO of Global Transport Policy – a global transport leader with influence across three continents.

The lecture will be followed by the 10th  International Maritime Business to Business Conference and Exhibition featuring round tables on various subjects namely.

Mentoring and the development of the next generation is important for  the sustainable development of the maritime industry. 

At LIMWEEK 2025 , the organizers will match   mentees with mentors  who can help them navigate every part of the maritime industry .
 
Over the years LIMWEEK has enjoyed participation from around the world – Bangladesh, Cameroun, Denmark, France , the Gambia, Ghana, Tanzania, Namibia, Sierra Leone ,South Africa, the UAE, the United Kingdom , and the USA. This year Liberia is joining LIMWEEK
 for the first time.  

The Roundtable on Maritime Security in the Gulf of Guinea, usually led by the Chief of the Naval Staff, has regularly drawn participation of foreign navies , namely the Danish Royal Navy ,the USA Naval Command-Africa, the French Navy and more recently the British Royal Navy .This year,  Jette BJERRUM ,the Consul General of  the Royal Danish Consulate will share  experiences on what Denmark is doing in developing human capacity in the Gulf of Guinea.
