In his acceptance speech, the newly elected President General, Comrade Francis Bunu, expressed his profound gratitude to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him. As the pioneer Chairman of the BOT, he will provide guidance and strategic direction to the new administration, while also ensuring continuity and stability in the union's affairs.
The conference also saw the emergence of other new national executives, who were elected unopposed. They include:

Treasurer Mukhaila Lawal
Vice Presidents Boniface Udoh, Martina Njoku, Ibrahim Ohize, and Ganiu Dosunmu

In his remarks, Comrade Adeyanju called on members from the four branches of MWUN to work closely with the new President General and his team. He urged the new national executives to imbibe and cultivate the spirit of teamwork, while also respecting the leadership of Comrade Bunu.
Adeyanju described the new President General as a "son, friend, and brother" who has the capacity to perform and surpass the achievements of past administrations. He appealed to the union members to accord Comrade Bunu the respect and cooperation he deserves, while also emphasizing the importance of continuity and stability in the union's affairs.
The successful conclusion of the conference marks the beginning of a new era for the MWUN, an era that promises to be filled with hope, optimism, and renewed commitment to the welfare and well-being of the union's members.
As the new leadership takes the reins, they are expected to build on the solid foundation laid by the outgoing administration. With Comrade Adeyanju's guidance and expertise as the pioneer Chairman of the BOT, the MWUN is poised to achieve even greater heights in the years to come.
