NAGAFF Tincan Chairman Commends CAC Nnadi for Reforms, Applauds Association's 25th Anniversary

NAGAFF Tincan Chairman Commends CAC Nnadi for Reforms, Applauds Association's 25th Anniversary
The Chairman of Tincan Island Port chapter of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Dr. Emeka Paul Chiedozie, has praised the Customs Area Comptroller of Tincan Island Port, Comptroller Dera Nnadi, for introducing significant reforms and rebranding the command.

These reforms have resulted in positive changes in operations and speedier response to issues.

Chief Chiedozie, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Seagold Maritime Services Ltd, a thriving freight forwarding outfit, spoke in Lagos on Thursday after the official inauguration of NAGAFF's Silver Jubilee and Acquisition of N500 million New Secretariat Planning Committee.

He commended the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for making export documentation seamless, particularly highlighting the ability to process export documentation at only one command, Lylipond.

Dr. Emeka Chiedozie, a PhD holder in Art, Business Management, and Corporate Leadership, noted that freight forwarding operations at Tincan Island Port are moving towards international standards.

He also applauded the CAC and other agencies for collaborating to ensure permanent free access to the port for vehicular and human movement.

However, he appealed to relevant government agencies to regulate and minimize the activities of non-state actors who harass and extort legitimate truck drivers, making the haulage business difficult.

Chief Dr. Paul Emeka Chiedozie, also Managing Director of Treasure Garden Hotel & Suites, praised NAGAFF for its 25th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the association's history.

The Silver Jubilee celebration will be held on November 16, 2024, in Ikoyi, Lagos, alongside the launch of the N500 million new secretariat project.
