NAGAFF Celebrates Deaconess Kate Oghagbon's 15 Years of Service as First National Women Leader
The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) will host a grand send-forth ceremony for Deaconess Kate Oghagbon, fondly known as "Mama NAGAFF," on August 30, 2024, at their national headquarters in Apapa. This event marks the culmination of Oghagbon's 15 years of dedicated service as the Association's first National Women Leader.
The ceremony will feature the launch of a new bus for the women's wing and the presentation of awards to distinguished personalities, including Oghagbon herself, Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, Mrs. Helen Ezisi, and Princess Chi Eze.
Notable attendees include NAGAFF Founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam, BOT Chairman Chief Chidiebere Enelama, and NAGAFF President Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, among others.
Oghagbon, appointed as National Women Leader in 2010, has been instrumental in uniting and nurturing women in the industry.
Her leadership has elevated the women's wing to new heights. She announced her retirement on June 27, 2024, handing over to her deputy, Princess Uju Ebubedike.
The current Women Leader, Princess Uju Ebubedike, and her team deemed it essential to honor Oghagbon in a unique and memorable way, recognizing her contributions to the association and the broader maritime industry.
