ANLCA Chieftain Commends Decongestion of Apapa-Mile 2 Expressway

The federal and Lagos State governments have been lauded for decongesting the Apapa-Mile 2 Expressway which has made for free flow of traffic.

is a huge relief to freight forwarders, shippers and other people working in both Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports.
Making the commendation on Friday,  a female chieftain of the Association of Nigerian Licenced Customs Agents (ANLCA) and Chief Executive Officer, Onas 100 Resources, Comrade Onome Joy Monije, gave kudos to the governments for clearing the road of traffic snarls which has greatly improved business growth in the area.

Speaking after receiving Distinguished Amazon Customs Broker Gold Award, Comrade Monije advised that the good job done should be maintained by making sure that the trucks do not return to block the road.

She said the road was a trauma before it was cleared of traffic gridlock,  adding that some people working in the port used to come to office twice a week which reduced productivity and also brought down many businesses.

According to her, importers were forced to give jobs to people they saw on the road then because they could not access the port area to meet licensed clearing agents.

She was elated that these  challenges have gone with the decongestion of the road as port users and others drive their cars to the ports daily without any hindrance, adding that this has increased productivity and improved businesses.

Comrade Monije called on the Apapa Local Government to clear the wastes along the road as well as the drainage before the rain season begins.
She also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team for working to bring down the value of dollar against the naira.

The Onas 100 Chief Executive impressed it on the government to let the exchange rate go down, saying that when the exchange rate is low, more Nigerians will be abe to do business.
Though she said Nigeria is still passing through some difficulties, she however believes that things are getting better and that with time Nigeria will be better and Nigerians will be glad.
