Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria Celebrates Adebayo Sarumi at 80
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), under the leadership of Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, has felicitated with Adebayo Sarumi on his 80th birthday anniversary.
The former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) was described by the MWUN President-General as a detribalized and seasoned maritime administrator of repute, who successfully managed the administrations of NPA and the Nigerian Shippers Council simultaneously during his tenure in the public sector.
Prince Adeyanju praised Chief Sarumi for his respect for traditions, which earned him recognition and decorations in the South West and South South regions of Nigeria.
He commended Chief Sarumi's commitment and dedication to the development of the country's economy through the maritime sector, where he proved himself as a doyen of the industry until his retirement.
The MWUN President-General, on behalf of the entire Union executives, wished Chief Sarumi a happy and memorable birthday, praying that God grants him good health, prosperity, and longevity as he continues to grace the maritime industry with his wisdom and experience.
