Customs Flags Off Health Insurance Sensitisation Programme with Songhai Health Trust
The Nigeria Customs Service has launched a sensitisation programme with Songhai Health Trust to educate officers on the benefits of the National Health Insurance Scheme. The programme aims to provide officers with access to quality and affordable healthcare services.
Speaking at the flag-off event, the Comptroller-General of Customs, represented by the Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs in Charge of Human Resource Development, Greg Itotoh, emphasized the importance of the scheme in providing stress-free and affordable healthcare services to officers.
He encouraged all officers to take advantage of the scheme, as the Nigeria Customs Service makes mandatory contributions to the programme.
The sensitisation programme will be taken to different zones, commands, and customs formations to educate officers on the benefits of the scheme.
The Comptroller of Customs (Pharmacy), Abdulkadir Mohammed, and the Deputy Manager Operations of the Songhai Health Trust, Dr Rotimi Anlemi, also spoke at the event, providing more information on the scheme and its operations."
