Kinzy B: Afrobeats Holds Key to Nigeria’s Economic Growth, Global Cultural Influence
Fast-rising Afropop artiste, Obire Kingsley, popularly known as Kinzy B, has identified Nigeria’s music industry as a major driver of economic growth, job creation and global cultural influence.
Kinzy B made the assertion on Wednesday in Lagos during a media briefing with journalists, stressing that the growing global acceptance of Afrobeats had positioned Nigerian music as one of the country’s most successful cultural exports.
According to him, the international rise of Afrobeats has been driven by the creativity, resilience and originality of Nigerian artistes, who continue to showcase the country’s culture through music, performances and digital platforms.
The Delta State-born singer noted that the increasing global demand for Nigerian music was creating opportunities beyond artistes, benefiting producers, songwriters, dancers, entertainment promoters, digital content creators and other professionals within the creative industry.
He urged emerging artistes to remain focused, consistent and committed to developing their craft, despite the challenges associated with the entertainment industry.
“Upcoming artistes must remain focused and continue to improve their craft. There will always be distractions and challenges, but determination and consistency are important for anyone who wants to succeed,” he said.
