In order to fulfill the NCS goal of reaching the N5.0 trillion revenue target by 2024, Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi has asked the Vice President for support. 

This is an ambitious request intended to improve revenue generation and reinforce the NCS's economic contributions. With this bold appeal, the NCS hopes to increase income production and strengthen its economic influence.

While on an Appreciation Visit to the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, on January 5th at the State House, Adeniyi conveyed his gratitude to the Vice President for attending and giving a keynote speech at the recently concluded 2023 CGC conference in Lagos on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

In his remarks, the Vice President emphasized the significance of customs to the growth of the country. He complimented CGC Adeniyi for the measures taken and also promised to support the NCS in fulfilling its purpose.
