Jaiyeoba Takes Over At Apapa Customs  Command

Former Controller of Oyo/Osun command of Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Babajide Jaiyeoba, took over  as the Customs Area Controller of the Apapa Customs Command. 

ACG Auwal Baba Mohammed who was recently promoted and transferred to Abuja handed over to him on Tuesday.

Speaking after taking over,  Jaiyeoba said he was prepared for the task ahead, promising to surpass the revenue target set for the command by the Customs management. 

He tasked officers and men of the command to join hands with him for a successful tenure. 

He assured officers and stakeholders that he would run an open door policy with a promise to facilitate trade and block revenue leakages.
Speaking earlier, ACG Mohammed commended officers and men of the command for supporting him to record an impressive revenue collection as the controller of the command.
Mohammed stated that the command under him collected N676 billion  revenue to government coffers between January and August 2023. 
He added that the command recorded highest monthly revenue of N136 billion in August and N10 billion collection in a single day, on 3rd of August, 2023 being the highest monthly and daily collections in the history of the Nigeria Customs Service.
