Chief Afam Chukwuma, Managing Director of International Supply Chain Systems Limited and Deputy National President, Seaport, of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders NAGAFF, has tasked the newly formed management team of the Nigeria Customs Service NCS to come up with solutions that will ease trade at the country's ports and borders.
In a congratulatory letter to the management team that was made accessible to journalists, Chief Afam Chukwuma states that the business community anticipates the service's support and direction, particularly when it comes to trade facilitation.
"It is important to remember that the business community looks to you for support and guidance, and it is essential that you put their needs first. By working closely with other government agencies and stakeholders, you can ensure that trade is conducted smoothly and effectively."
" Additional, it's critical to be knowledgeable about ongoing changes in international trade, such as new tariffs and laws, and to be ready to adjust and react appropriately."
He wished them success in their new roles and anticipated seeing how their dedication and leadership would advance commerce in the country.
The NAGAFF Deputy National President for Seaport further mentioned that the group will work with the Nigerian Custom Service to advance trade facilitation.
