Rainbow Coalition Assures Nigerians of Coming Abundance, Seeks Mobilisation for Tinubu's 2nd Term
The Rainbow Coalition Movement – South West, a grassroots platform supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027, has assured Nigerians that abundant prosperity is on the horizon. The coalition noted that President Bola Tinubu took the difficult but necessary decisions that past leaders avoided for cheap popularity.
Addressing a world press conference in Lagos to kickstart its activities, the Convener, Prince (Hon.) Olu Adefioye,
acknowledged current economic challenges, urging patience, resilience, and stressed that reforms introduced by President Tinubu were necessary for long-term prosperity. He pointed to stabilizing macro-economic indicators and renewed investor confidence as signs of progress. “Nigeria will be great again,” he affirmed.
held a press conference at Atinuke Complex, Okota Road, Lagos, on Friday. The event was convened by Prince (Hon.) Olu Adefioye, who described the gathering as “historic” and reaffirmed the coalition’s mission to mobilize support across the South West region.
Prince Adefioye emphasized that the Rainbow Coalition is a non-partisan, inclusive movement drawing members from across political parties including APC, PDP, Accord, APM, and APGA. According to him, the coalition brings together youth leaders, women leaders, artisans, professionals, market traders, and students united by a shared belief in continuity and the “Renewed Hope Agenda.”
“Our mission is singular, noble and unambiguous: to galvanize grassroots support for the actualization of President Tinubu’s second term,” Adefioye stated.
The convener paid special tribute to Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, describing him as “a man of uncommon courage, a master strategist, and a pillar of this administration.” He noted that the coalition was moving under Wike’s leadership and pledged collaboration with him in the journey toward 2027.
He called on members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections. “This is not the time for armchair politics,” Adefioye said, urging door-to-door engagement and community advocacy to spread the message of Renewed Hope.
The convener expressed gratitude to members across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, and Ondo States, as well as to media partners and traditional leaders who attended the event. He concluded with a rallying slogan: “Unity. Progress. Good Governance. Democracy.”
