POWERFUL U.S. MILITARY STRIKE REPORTED AGAINST ISIS ELEMENTS IN NIGERIA

POWERFUL U.S. MILITARY STRIKE REPORTED AGAINST ISIS ELEMENTS IN NIGERIA
Reports emerging in the early hours of Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, indicate that the United States carried out a powerful military strike targeting suspected ISIS terrorist elements operating in Northwest Nigeria.

The reported action follows prolonged concerns over insurgency and the killing of Christians in parts of Nigeria. These attacks have been attributed to extremist groups including Boko Haram, ISIS-affiliated militants, and armed Herdsmen, all of which are recognized as terrorist organizations within Nigeria.

A statement attributed to former U.S. President Donald J. Trump was shared via X (formerly known as Twitter), in which he claimed responsibility for authorizing the military action.

According to the statement, the strike was aimed at curbing the continued killing of innocent Christians and preventing the expansion of radical Islamic terrorism in the region.
The statement further emphasized that previous warnings had been issued to the terrorist groups involved and that decisive action was taken following their failure to halt the violence.

In a related report, Madison Scarpino of Fox News described the operation as deadly. She quoted President Trump as saying that he had previously warned the terrorists that if they did not stop the killing of Christians, there would be “hell to pay,” and that action was taken this night.

According to the report, the Department of Defense executed what was described as a precise and highly effective strike, demonstrating a level of military capability unique to the United States.

As of the time of this release, no official casualty figures have been confirmed, and independent verification from U.S. or Nigerian government authorities remains pending.
