The Port Harcourt II Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has achieved a historic feat, generating an unprecedented ₦76.07 billion in October 2025 — the highest monthly revenue in the Command’s history.
In a statement issued on Monday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Theophilus Duniya, the landmark achievement reflects the result of purposeful leadership, effective stakeholder collaboration, and strategic operational reforms under the leadership of Comptroller Aliyu M. Alkali.
According to the CAC, the record performance, is largely attributed to the deliberate stakeholder engagement initiatives championed by constant dialogue with port users and unit heads to enhance compliance and facilitate legitimate trade.
“These initiatives have significantly contributed to the improved revenue performance,” the statement read, emphasizing the Command’s renewed commitment to efficiency and transparency in port operations.
Comptroller Alkali, who has consistently emphasized the importance of teamwork and integrity, also implemented a strategic deployment of officers based on operational needs — a move that, according to the Command, boosted productivity and ensured optimal resource utilization across all units.
He expressed gratitude to the Command’s officers, licensed agents, importers, and other stakeholders for their collaboration and patriotism, describing the achievement as a collective victory.
“This milestone is a testament to what we can achieve through effective teamwork and dedication to national development,” Alkali stated. “We shall continue to strengthen our system to sustain this momentum.”
