243 NIMASA Staff Get Promotion as DG Urges Higher Performance

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has promoted 243 staff members, reaffirming its commitment to merit-based career progression and staff welfare.
The promotion exercise elevated nine Deputy Directors to the rank of Director. Those promoted include Mrs. Moji Jimoh (Coordinator, Abuja Liaison Office), Dr. Odunayo Ani (Director, Internal Audit), Mrs. Nneka Obianyor (Special Adviser to the DG), and Mrs. Biodun Fatade (Director, Procurement). Others who attained the Director level are Dr. Oma Ofodile, Ms. Gloria Anyasodo, Mr. Abdulahi Yelwa, Umar Buba, and Mr. Umar Ibrahim Sidi.
In addition, 30 Assistant Directors were promoted to Deputy Directors, 35 Chiefs advanced to Assistant Directors, while 169 staff members moved up by one grade level.
Congratulating the newly promoted officers, NIMASA Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, stressed that the exercise was strictly merit-driven. He urged the beneficiaries to embrace their new roles with greater commitment, stating: “See your elevation as motivation to higher performance.”
He further assured staff of the agency’s dedication to a transparent promotion process and continuous improvement in welfare. “This is a reward for excellence, and NIMASA expects even greater productivity in return,” Mobereola added.
