MWUN  Mourns Death of Late  Ayo Ohiwereh
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi with commiserated with the family of late Comrade Ayo Ohiwereh, whose internment took place Saturday last week in London.

Although, the burial event was on zoom with the entire Union officials and members seated at a close watch, glued to the tube to catch every moment of the funeral proceeding in the UK. It would be recalled that the Union leadership had initially paid a condolence visit to the family in his  Festac home, Lagos, before the final burial in the United Kingdom.

The President -General of the Union, Comrade Bunu, who was still pained with the untimely exit of late Comrade Ayo, described him as a diligent man, a stickler for details and an astute administrator, who worked with a clear direction of purpose on people's management, etching indelible footprints on the Union's project for delivering a clear Collective Bargaining Agreement ( CBA ) as exemplified by his sterling handling of the Maritime Affiliate Support ( MAS ) project to strengthening CBA in Nigeria.

The Maritime Numero Uno labour leader, said Comrade Ayo was an example of persistence service, filled with courage, hope and embedded with fruitfulness of delivery in all he did.

Comrade Ayo Ohiwereh was a rare gem, hailed form Edo State, graduated with degrees in Nigeria and in London;  served the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) London without blemish in conjunction with the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria before his demise. Late Ayo will be sorely remembered by the Union for his magnanimity, love towards one another and his hilarious nature as he is one person that was hardly offended. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
