JAMB Directs UTME Candidates to Print Notification Slips Ahead of Optional Mock Examination
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a directive to candidates sitting for the 2025 optional Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mock examination to print their notification slips in preparation for the exam. This move is aimed at ensuring that candidates are well-prepared and have all the necessary information before the examination.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday, JAMB's Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, emphasized the importance of printing the notification slip, which contains essential details such as the exam date, venue, time, and other important instructions.
"The notification slip is a critical document that candidates must have in order to participate in the mock examination," Dr. Benjamin explained. "We urge all candidates to print their slips from Thursday, April 3, 2025, to allow sufficient time for logistical preparations and easy access to their designated centres."
Dr. Benjamin also advised candidates to visit their assigned centres at least a day or two before the exam to familiarize themselves with the location and ensure a smooth experience. This, he noted, would help reduce anxiety and stress on the day of the examination.
The 2025 UTME mock examination is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, while the main UTME will commence on Friday, April 25, 2025. The mock examination is optional, but it provides candidates with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment and practice their skills before the main examination.
JAMB has assured candidates that the mock examination will be conducted in a secure and transparent manner, with adequate measures in place to prevent malpractice and ensure the integrity of the examination.
Candidates are advised to check their email addresses and phone numbers for notifications from JAMB, and to visit the Board's website for updates and instructions on the examination.
With the printing of notification slips now underway, candidates are urged to take advantage of this opportunity to prepare themselves for the examination and ensure a successful outing.
