MWUN BOT Chairman Felicitates with Muslims, Promotes Unity and Coexistence
Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, the Board of Trustee Chairman and outgoing President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan. In a statement, Adeyanju urged Muslims to observe the Sallah with love, charity, forgiveness, and tolerance, regardless of religious differences.

Adeyanju, also the Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Vice President Global, International Transport Workers Federation (ITF), praised Muslims for their resilience in upholding Islam's tenets, particularly in maintaining relative peace in the country. He emphasized the importance of sustaining peace and tolerance for a better society where everyone can coexist joyfully.

The MWUN BOT Chairman, who is also a devoted Muslim, sent his warmest greetings to all Muslims globally, expressing his heartfelt gratitude. He admonished Muslim brothers and sisters to be of good cheer always by emulating the good deeds of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), who went about doing good on earth and stood as the holy symbol of Islam.

Adeyanju's message serves as a reminder of the values of love, charity, and forgiveness that are at the heart of Islam. As the world celebrates Eid-el-Fitr, he urged Muslims to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding, which are essential for building a harmonious and prosperous society.

The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has a long history of promoting unity, peace, and understanding among its members and the wider community. As a key player in the Nigerian labor movement, the MWUN has consistently advocated for the rights and interests of its members, while also promoting peaceful coexistence and tolerance among people of different faiths and backgrounds.

As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, Adeyanju's message is a timely reminder of the importance of promoting peace, tolerance, and understanding in our society. By embracing these values, we can build a more harmonious and prosperous world, where everyone can live in peace and dignity.

The message was signed by Comrade John Kennedy Ikemefuna, Head of Media, MWUN.
