Nigerian Ports Consultant Council appoints Macfoy, 5 others
The Board of the Nigerian Ports Consultative Council (NPCC) has appointed Mrs Rollens Macfoy, and five others as the consultant committee for research and development.
Its Chairman, Mr Bolaji Sumola, made the disclosure while presenting the appointment letter to the newly appointed committee during its first major meeting at its secretariat in Marina on Wednesday.
Sumola listed the research committee members to include Prof. Bamidele Badejo as Chairman, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim as Vice Chairman.
He added that other members were :Mrs Rollens Macfoy, O.B Onyenankeya, Ugo Madubuike, Mr Sesan Ajayi and Mr Omodehin Adekanbi appointed as the secretary to the committee.
Sunmola said he would no doubt that Macfoy's appointment a maritime technocrat in research and training, would be an asset to the committee.
He said that her outstanding skills in training had necessitated the NPCC Board to nominated her and five others adding that NPCC wouled benefited from their admirable track records.
"We pray that God will help you all in this National assignment for a successful, remarkable performance and laudable achievement in repositioning Nigerian Ports Consultative Council,"Sumola said.
Macfoy is also known as Seafarers mentors Is the current President, Women in Shipping Africa (WIMAfrica) and also the Chief Executive Officer, Ocean Deep Group.
Macfoy and the other five members were appointed on Feb. 4, and inaugurated them on Feb. 19 2025.
The committee was ably headed by prof. Bamidele Badejo a lecturer and retired Apapa Ports Manager Hajia Aisha Ibrahim as the Vice Chairman.
