Nigeria Customs Service Recruitment Process Declared a Success
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced that its recent recruitment process, which began in December 2024, has been highly successful. AC Abdullahi Maiwada, the image maker of the NCS, revealed that the service received an overwhelming 573,519 applications for 3,927 vacancies, with only four invalid applications .

Maiwada attributed the success to the service's efficient management of the process, despite initial server downtime issues due to the high volume of applications. To address these issues, the NCS provided a 24/7 help desk and live chat support during working hours.

The breakdown of applications is as follows:
Superintendent Cadre 249,218 applied for General Duty, while 287,722 applied for Support Staff
Inspection Cadre: 115,634 applied for General Duty, and 12,952 applied for Support Staff

Customs Assistant Cadre* 153,593 applied for General Duty, and 14,400 applied for Support Staff

Maiwada emphasized that the recruitment process is free, fair, and credible, warning applicants to beware of fraudulent activities and not to make any payments, as the NCS will never request payment for recruitment .
