Customs CGC Believes in Stakeholders' Engagement for Seamless Operations,  Says Compt. Odusanya
The Area Controller of Lilypond Export Command, Nigeria Customs Service, Comptroller Ajiboka Odusanya has stated that the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, believes so much in stakeholders' engagement for smooth operation of the Service. 

Responding during the visit of  Lilypond Resident Customs Agents led by its Leader, Prince Olu Adefioye, to his office on Thursday, the Controller stated that he is very receptive to stakeholders as a policy of the Comptroller General of Customs for seamless operation and as his style of administration.

The controller promised to work with the resident clearing agents. On the request for a space for the agents' Taskforce, he said that though Customs has space constraints, he will talk to the management of Diamond Star for a space for the agents.

Odusanya said the taskforce is welcomed so far it will work in tandem with the law and for the overall good of all.

Earlier, the leader of the resident agents, Prince Adefioye in his speech commended the controller for his efforts and style of administration to facilitate trade.

He informed the controller that the Customs agents domiciled at Lilypond are very unique in the sense that though they are members of three associations, namely Association of Nigerian Licenced Agents (ANLCA), National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents (NCMDLCA), they speak with one voice and regard themselves as one big family.

Adefioye pledged the full support of the resident agents to the controller with a promise to work with him to enable him facilitate trade and achieve his targets in revenue generation.

He intimated the controller of their plan to establish a Taskforce in the command and pleaded for a space for it to operate from.
