In order to increase food security and economic stability, Pastor Tunde Ojudun, the publisher of the People's Forum Magazine/Online has urged the government to combat insurgency.
Pastor Ojudun stated this during his opening address at the People's Forum Magazine's 15th National Business Summit and Award Conferment with the theme “Insecurity and Economic Growth” on Saturday.
According to Ojundun, the government must address insecurity before building a strong economic foundation because it has a substantial negative impact on enterprises and the country's economy.
“We all know that man needs money, he needs a sound economic base but above all that he must be secured before talking of money or financial growth”.
“Insecurity has no doubt affected businesses and the nation's economy at large. Farmers cannot go to farms like they did in the past for fear of kidnappers, killer herdsmen and insurgents”.
“Without preempting what our guest speakers will say, I want to charge the Federal Government to do more in the fight against insurgency and all forms of criminality for the economy to bounce back”.
“There will continue to be food shortages and hunger if the insecurity issue is not properly addressed”.
