The Oyo State government has announced plans to recruit 7,000 teachers into public primary schools across the state's 33 local government areas. Additionally, 100 caregivers will be employed to support the special needs sub-sector. This announcement was made by Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Executive Chairman of t Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), during a press briefing in Ibadan on Friday.

According to Dr. Adeniran, the recruitment process is part of Governor Seyi Makinde's efforts to fulfill his electoral promise and address the shortage of teachers in public primary schools. The government has warned potential applicants to be cautious of scammers and fraudulent individuals, as the recruitment process has not yet begun.
