Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), was presented with an Award of Honour by the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAF) on Friday at the RockView Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.

According to NAGAFF, Dr. Adeyanju received the top award for his persistence and commitment to labour issues in the industry.

Comrade Adeyanju, who also serves as the Deputy President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), has been hailed as a pragmatic labor leader whose significant contribution to the country's peaceful marine sector cannot be overstated.
NAGAFF's pick of the Maritime Labour leader was influenced by his overall evaluation in both the maritime sector and the Congress.

Among the guests at the occasion were the elite of the industry, including Chief (Dr.) Boniface Aniebonam, the founder and former president of the Association.

The Association of his Union will continue to work in tandem with the freight forwarders, who, according to Comrade Adeyanju, have lived up to their reputation as industry professionals. He expressed his happiness at receiving the Honour.
