Nine Dead as Truck falls on Commercial Bus in Lagos

Tragedy struck on Sunday, January 29, 2023, as a truck fell off a bridge at ojuelegba landing on a commercial bus killing its occupants in Lagos State.
An eyewitness claimed that when the event occurred on Sunday, the bus conductor was yelling for passengers to board.
Nine fatalities in all—4 adult males, 3 adult females, a girl child, and a boy child—were discovered.
A truck hauling a 20-foot container fell on top of a commercial bus, according to a statement made by Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu of PS LASEMA.
The bus was picking up passengers when the truck struck it, according to further investigation.
"Using the Agency's forklift to suspend the container load and light rescue tools to chop off the top of the bus, one adult woman was freed alive and brought to the trauma center.
"Teams from Onipan and Cappa as well as the Agency's heavy duty Goliath were on the scene. Work has been done on this scenario by the Agency's Ambulance, LASG FIRE, FED FIRE, LASTMA, and Nigeria Police."
