Veteran journalist, Bolanle Frazer celebrates mum @ 90
A veteran and media personality, Bola Frazer, of channels Television, celebrated her mother on her 90th birthday, dedicating her newly built massion to her.
Speaking during her mother's 90th birthday and thanks giving in Lagos on Wednesday, Frazer
appreciated her mother for working tirelessly in ensuring her children received quality education.
" My mother who is commonly worked as carpenter, bricklayer ,wash woman, cook, any work to ensure we are all educated.
"Mama will do anything to ensure her children are well fed. I learnt business from my mum.
"Mama is a good adviser and I never regret towing all the lines she laid for us.
*My mum spoilt me with love, care and honesty. She usually comes to my school when I was in university to wash my clothes during weekend. Am happy to be your last born.
"I am naming this house my mummy's name, Mercy River View Apartments,"Frazer said.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer by Mrs Ibironke Akanbi, said she celebrated mama's 85-year birthday with her and she is also here again to celebrate her 90th birthday.
She thanked God for mama for having grandchildren of third generation and prayed for more peace in Nigeria, Mama and everyone.
In a goodwill message, one of Mama's granddaughter, a Nurse, Mrs Anu Adenuga, described her grandma as a disciplinarian and industrious.
She said mama thought her how to save for a raining day.
"Mama thought me how to produce and save for the dry period.
"My grandma thought me how to dry snail and keep for hardship time "Adenuga said.
Mr Samuel Frazer, an in-law to mama said he had known mama for the past 40 years saying that mama had been a prayerful and always impactful.
One of mama's daughter, Mrs Jumoke Iluyemi, described Mama as a very hard working and ensured that she trained all her children up to university level.
"Mama usually spent more than two years with her children when they put to birth.
"Mama had a terrible accident in 2020 when mama fell down and had her legs damaged and she still working with her two legs up till now with out using clutches.
One of Mama's cousin, Pastor Rotimi Talabi, who schooled in Port-Harcourt, said mama usually communicate with him during 19th with telegraph and also checking on my performance with series of advise.
"Mama usually smoked meat for me and my friends and also buy foodstuffs with cash to give me and my friends friends when ever we are going to school in Port-Harcourt university.
The officiating pastor, Joshua Ayeni, of Salvation Evangelical Ministry, appreciated mama for giving birth to merciful children.
He advised all the children to redouble their loves and care for mama being a prayerful person to pave more ways for them and their children.
"Am celebrating mama because we waited and received joy and withniess her daughter's second house warming ceremony.
"Grace will work for everyone celebrating with mama because salaries can not buy a land talk less of building a marvelous house like this,"Ayemi said.
The birthday celebration and house warming was witnessed by families, friends, children grandchildren, ambassador, dignitaries and well wishers.
Bolanle Frazer popularly known as Bola is a producer with Channels Television. She
Obtained a University degree from Lagos State University Ojo where she studied Geography and Planning.
She went ahead to got her masters degree in Diplomacy and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos(UNILAG).
