Comptroller Onyeka also took advantage of the opportunity to reiterate the necessity for stakeholders to make more truthful statements in order to create a smooth operating environment and provide a more favourable ecosystem for all parties.
He was especially grateful for the CG of Customs' and the favourable coverage the Command has received from the media thus far. He further pledged to keep interacting with stakeholders in every manner he could in order to improve their operations overall.
The baton of leadership at the Command changed hands on the 20th of December 2025 and the new helmsman has been quite tremendous in the handling of all affairs at the Command.
The Customs Area Controller of the Command Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka, is seen as a quintessential and charismatic person by most stakeholders as having hit the ground running.
He has been in the forefront of employing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi's policy of consolidation, collaboration and innovation in carrying out his functions and these have rightly aided his performances at the Command.
