Comrade Francis Bunu Abi Greets Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, Advocates for Unity and Peace
Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, the newly elected President-General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to various stakeholders who attended the Union's recent book launch and Quadrennial Conference held at the Festival Hotel, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
The stakeholders who graced the occasion include government functionaries across all strata, maritime industry stakeholders, captains of industries, entrepreneurs of various businesses across the country, labor leaders, veterans of MWUN leaders, men of the fourth estate of the realm, traditional rulers, and various distinguished Nigerians.
In his statement, Comrade Bunu also extended his warmest greetings to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and worldwide on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Holy Ramadan fast. He urged Muslims to emulate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) by demonstrating love, kindness, charity, and forgiveness towards one another.
Comrade Bunu emphasized the importance of tolerance, peace, and togetherness, stressing that these values are essential for peaceful coexistence among humanity, regardless of tribe, descent, color, or religion. He further admonished Muslims across the world to eschew violence and to embrace peace, tolerance, and understanding in their daily activities.
