MWUN Mourns the Loss of a True Maritime Giant: Tribute to Late Comrade Wasiu Keshinro
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) is mourning the sad and untimely demise of one of its most dedicated and committed members, Comrade Wasiu Keshinro. The late Comrade Keshinro passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024, after a brief illness, leaving behind a legacy of courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the union.

Comrade Keshinro was a true maritime giant, whose contributions to the growth and development of the union cannot be overstated. As a dockworker, he was a fearless and tireless advocate for the rights and welfare of his colleagues. His unwavering commitment to the union's cause earned him the respect and admiration of his peers, who saw in him a true leader and a champion of the maritime workers' struggle.
As a trustee of the union, Comrade Keshinro was a diligent and dedicated member, who brought his wealth of experience and expertise to bear on the union's decision-making processes. His wise counsel and guidance were invaluable to the union's leadership, who sought his advice on matters of critical importance to the union.
Comrade Keshinro's passing has created a huge vacuum in the union, which will be difficult to fill. His colleagues, contemporaries, friends, and subordinates will miss his wise counsel, his infectious smile, and his unwavering commitment to the union's cause.
The President-General of MWUN, Comrade (Prince) Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, and the entire union are deeply saddened by Comrade Keshinro's passing.
