Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, visited the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, to express gratitude for the Nigeria Customs Service's support in trade facilitation and border security.

Governor Zulum highlighted Borno's strategic location, sharing borders with Cameroon, Chad, and Niger, emphasizing the need for collaboration to enhance security and trade.

He appreciated the Customs Service's dedication in addressing Borno's unique challenges, stating, "We're grateful for the assistance. Our borders require robust management, and we seek to strengthen our relationship with Customs to ensure safety and prosperity."

Comptroller General Adeniyi assured Governor Zulum of the Customs Service's commitment to supporting Borno State, facilitating legitimate trade, and protecting borders.

The meeting concluded with Governor Zulum inviting the CGC to visit Borno, aiming to build on the existing partnership between the state and Customs Service.
