By Kathy Kyari

The Customs Area Controller Tincan Island Port Command, Comptroller Dera A. Nnadi, hosted a dinner on Thursday to commemorate Easter with Christian brethren and the 18th day of IFTAR with Muslim brethren.

During his speech, the CAC emphasized the value of uniting in prayer to support the country's ongoing progress.

The Port Manager, Mr. Sylvester O. Egede, was welcomed by the CAC and thanked for his accomplishments. He has recently reported to the port and has accomplished a lot thanks to the collaboration of Customs, other sister security agencies, and the press, which has consistently provided positive coverage of the port's operations.

Nnadi went on to urge all parties involved to devote themselves fully to their fields of expertise in order to support the growth and development of the country.

Comptroller Nnadi praised Mr. Egede's rapid achievement at the port and exhorted all parties involved to be committed to contributing to the development of the country.

In addition, the CAC thanked truck drivers for their cooperation and asked them to try to comprehend that, in contrast to previous results, the traffic situation has been resolved, which will facilitate smooth vehicle movement and several turnovers to the port in a short amount of time.

He said that the state of traffic had killed several road users and negatively impacted government efforts to facilitate and ease trade.

In response, Tin Can Island's port manager, Mr. Sylvester Egede, shared his knowledge and described how a blend of long-standing work experience, environmental consciousness, and institutional knowledge helped to solve the traffic problem that was impeding traffic flow from Mile 2 to the Tincan Seaport.

The CAC thanked everyone who took the time to accept the invitation in his concluding remarks, particularly the Imam of the TCIPC Mosque who delivered the event's closing prayers.
