Maiwada wins "Spokesperson of the Year," attributing his Success to CGC's Drive and Teamwork

Spokesperson’s Digest, a part of Image Merchant Public Relations, has awarded Chief Superintendent of Customs, Abdullahi Aliyu Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Customs Service, the prestigious 'Spokesperson of the Year' Award.

Prominent figures attended the Abuja event, which highlighted Maiwada's outstanding contributions to public relations and his steadfast dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.

In an interview, Maiwada gave NCBN Correspondents an inside look at the motivations behind his achievements.

“This accolade not only acknowledges my dedication but also inspires me to elevate my contributions further. My motivation comes from a deep passion for my work and the unwavering support of my dedicated team," he said.

Maiwada credited his staff's teamwork for the achievement.

“Today's recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of my team, serving as a motivating force to strive for excellence.”

Maiwada also emphasized his belief in getting the most out of his work and expressed his appreciation for the inspirational leadership he receives from his management team and Comptroller General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR.

“I believe in getting the best out of my work, and this passion, combined with the support of my team and the guidance from my elders, has been the driving force behind my success.” He said.

The National PRO encouraged organizers to keep recognizing the passion and devotion of media practitioners and agencies, recognizing them not only for their professional expertise but also for their commitment to mentoring.

He underlined the importance of maintaining a culture that honours people who are making noteworthy contributions to their disciplines.

During his last speech, Maiwada expressed his sincere gratitude to the CGC's representative, Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs Headquarters Adeogun Alajogun, for his resolute support. He recognized Alajogun's crucial role in his achievements as the unit's direct supervisor, the Nigeria Customs Service Public Relations Unit.

In addition to recognizing an individual's accomplishment, the event emphasized the Nigeria Customs Service's teamwork and devotion, reiterating their pledge to excellence in public relations.
