The Unit Commander of FRSC, Lekki Unit Command, Assistant Corps Commander Sani Abdullahi, decorates Temitoyin Oluwayimika, promoted from the rank of Assistant Route Commander (ARC) to Deputy Route Commander (DRC).
The Lekki Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Assistant Corps Commander Sani Abdullahi, has urged promoted staff to increase their productivity and be dedicated to duty.
Abdullahi, in a statement made available in Lagos on Saturday, said this while decorating six newly promoted officers of his command on Friday.
He advised the promoted officers to improve on their productivity levels, saying to whom much is given, much is expected.
The Commander said that there was mass jubilation across commands nationwide following the release of the results of the last promotion exercise.
Appreciating the FRSC Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali-Biu for the exercise, he said the reaction was an indication that it met the expectations of the generality of the staff across board.
He urged everyone to realign with the new beginning of staff welfare, prompt promotion and provision of conducive working environment which the Corps Marshal was promoting in his management style.
Abdullahi urged the beneficiaries to justify the confidence reposed in them, saying the best way to reciprocate the gesture was for all to improve in their productivity.
He commended stakeholders for their consistency in supporting the campaign for safer environment, stressing that road safety was a shared responsibility which everyone must be involved in.
“Road Traffic management can only be successfully carried out when everyone is committed to addressing the challenge which the menace of road traffic crashes poses to our collective existence,.
"The regimental event was witnessed by staff of the command, traditional rulers and special guests including Alhaji Hassan Ogakwu, a prominent community leader within Lekki area. ” he said.
Abdullahi said that six officers of the command were promoted, with four moving from the rank of Route Commander (RC) to Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), with two officers promoted from Assistant Route Commander (ARC) to Deputy Route Commander ( DRC)
Superintendent Route Commander Oluwasuyi Adegoke, while speaking on behalf of promoted officers promised not to let the Corps down in their new ranks as the elevation has increased their morals and commitment to their various assignments.
