NLC Election 2023: Comrade Adeyanju to contest against three Others for Deputy National President

By Kathy Kyari
Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has been nominated to run in the February 2023 election for the position of Deputy National President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

Comrade Oniha Erazua, the union's media relations officer, made this clear in a statement on Thursday. The election is expected to take place on February 7 and 8 of 2023 during the Congress 13th National Delegate Conference.

Comrade Adeyanju would compete against the following three candidates: Comrades Kabiru Ado Sanni from the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) and Comrade Audi Titus Amba from the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT)

However, Comrade Joseph Ajaero from the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) is running unopposed for NLC President.

During the union's delegates conference, which took place in Lagos on March 26, 2021, Comrade Adeyanju was re-elected a second time for a four-year term.
